Nolan is a big boy -- a LAB, and as anyone who knows ANYthing about this breed: 1) NOTHING cannot be eaten; and 2) Everything qualifies. (i.e., Think Hoover, Garbage Gut, etc.)
Needless to say, he is WILD for his B&B cow ears (or anyone else's for that matter).
But what you need to know is that there are some excellent points that make B&B ears FAR SUPERIOR to any others on the market. And I've fed cow ears daily to my Labradors for the past 20+ years -- and for all the positive reasons that other dog parents approve of this product as well.
B&B ears are HUGE ... I'm talking your bag will contain ears with a few being 6", but most are 9-12 inches. They are THICK THICK THICK, and each ear has its very own generous size cuff, typically your pup's favorite part. NEVER MOLDY, never blemished. Sometimes B&B hosts special events offering "branded" ears at greatly reduced prices. While this branding ink is totally harmless to your pet, lots of pup parents are put off by the appearance of the numbers on the ears. Please don't let this alarm you -- perfectly safe for your dog.
The problem for us: The HUGE size of most of the ears! Of course, Nolan completely polishes off a 12-inch ear within a mere 5 minutes or less. (Yeah, I know -- that'll never change, LOL ...
I used to try to cut them in half ... ummmm, do you have any earthly idea how hard this can be to achieve? Ears are hard as steel, and I was cutting them with tin snips and heavy-duty tree limb loppers! No mean feat for a 100-pounder with arthritic hands!
Yes, there are bazillions of different cow ear manufacturers all over the place. BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE BRUTUS & BARNABY!!!
Our two dogs get half a cow ear each after breakfast. My husband used to have to cut them in half with a pair of tin snips, which was kind of a pain. Having them come as half ears is perfect for us.
Love the half cow ears. I have been buying the premium cow ears and cutting them in half. If you had premium half cow ears in larger quantities such as 25, 50 or even more it would be helpful.
Be the best dog parent, ever.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our chicken jerky and beef lung are sourced from USA. Our sweet potato products all come from USA farms in the Carolinas. Our Pig products (ears, snouts) come from South America. Our Cow Products (cow ears, bully sticks, collagen sticks, tails) mostly come from South America as well as Turkey.
We recommend giving your treats as a tasty snack or reward on a gradient. For example if you are giving a pig ear for the first time, give it to your dog and let him have some of it then take it away to be sure he does well with it before letting him eat a whole one. Be sure to give your dog plenty of fresh water also and be careful of the size of treat in relation to the size of your dog, so no small pieces become a choking hazard. Each of our products has feeding instructions.
It all depends on how aggressive of a chewer your dog is! Bully sticks and collagen sticks are tougher chews, so require more working by the dog to get through. A large breed with a strong, aggressive chew still might be able to get through it in 30 minutes. Smaller dogs might take days! So it really depends on the dog.
It depends on your dogs weight, healthy concerns and veterinary recommendations. Each treat has the calorie content listed (Kcal), and your dogs weight and diet recommendations will determine how many calories is correct for your dog.The best suggstion is to follow this as a guideline in determining how many treats to give. It's also important to also follow recommendations from your vet.
We adhere to strict quality standards in ensuring food safety, deconatimanitng food surfaces, testing of the treats, inspecting for freshness and quality. We take food safety standards very seriously and are constantly testing and improving our systems and facilities.
Our treats are the real deal - the actual animal or sweet potato, with no additives or preservatives. We cook all our treats in a very safe way to preserve maximum freshness & nutrition while still keeping it safe from food-borne bacteria. Our training treats have some added glycerin to help the product move through the machines and this acts as preservative as well.
